Just fill with alloy of your choice and turn it on, when it is about 700° go to casten.
You may have to make some adjustments for alloy flow and distance from valve to mold.
I like about 3/4 to 1 inch.

Get a hot plate from Walmart to preheat your moulds and alloy to about 400 degrees. I have a separate thermometer for the hot plate and a one for the pot also.

Remember never smelt in the Pro Melt! +1 on the hot plate to heat your molds. I got my hot plate at Walgreens as the local Wally World doesn't carry them. I wish I had bought the hot plate 30 years ago, as it gets you casting good bullets in just a few minutes when you pre-heat your molds.

Don't forget to heat your ingots before you replenish the pot. You can use a small metal box on top of the hot plate like a cracker tin large enough for your mould to help hold the heat in.

If I recall what the 2010 suggested retail price is in the new RCBS catalog it lists for about $450! Good snare on the pot!Robert
