I bought a new mag-20 in August '09 and it failed to heat to temps high enough to pour. I do not think I have over 30 hours on it. It is being handled under warranty (thank you God!), but I wonder what others have had for longevity before repairs...?

Just as a note it has been treated with TLC...

.............For what they charge for those things they'd BETTER be handeling it under warranty! However I've always heard really good things about them.

I just got the new furnace back yesterday a.m. Cabelas warranted the unit and all starts from scratch as new again. I thought you all should know.

I used a Mag-20 for years with no problems other than the occasional leak. Finally, I sold it to another board member and as far as I know it's still kicking./beagle

In my experience, both have had issues, and both took care of them.

I have been beatting around the idea of a Lyman Blem for 200 or an RCBS for a little more both have them as returns/blems with warrenty.
BUT the Lyman looks more user friendly
Is one better than the other

I never had a problem with the Mag-20 I had for a couple of years. The original owner ran it for 6 years I think with good luck. Paid $50 for it.

Sold it for the same price and now have the RCBS.
