I just got my ruger 50th anniversary blackhawk back from John Gallagher. He rechambered it to 41 special plus added a new match barrel, installed weigand front sight base and patridge blade. The only mold i have for it is a Lee 195 grain SWC, its not the tumble lube design but the regular one with 2 lube grooves. Has anyone used this bullet with any success, if so i would really appreciate some load data? Also, what other bullets do you reccomend for the 41 special and are there any pet loads?

Brett, PM me a couple of pics of your new .41spl, and a copy of your paid invoice. I have a standing offer of 100 rnds of .41spl brass to anyone who has a dedicated .41spl built.

He's serious about that - and it's great brass, too.

I routinely get 2.5" 10-shot groups at 25 yards with my own 41 Special - with darn near any load I feed it. When I finally burn through my hoard of commercial-cast, jacketed and plated bullets I'll probably order a Lee 215 mould for it. I'm sure they'll work as superbly as all the others.
