Hi

I have a RCBS Mould (45-255-KT) and I need a top punch for it and I have read that it should be the RCBS punsh #424.

but my supplier don't have RCBS, they only have Lyman.
so my question is: are Lyman #424 the same as RCBS #424?

/Clint

I'm 99% sure they are the same, i.e. interchangeable.
This web page says that as well:

Make a flat TP from a 1/4" shank bolt by polishing it smooth and round using a electric drill and a file and don't look back. That's all I use on my FP bullets./beagle

Lyman and RCBS TP #'s are not the same, enterchangeable, yes, but not the same.

Now after saying that, there are few of the same caliber that have the same # and fit the same boolit design, IE Lyman 452460, 452630 and RCBS 45-200 SWC have the same TP# but there still not the same.

To solve the problem, follow beagles advice

www.castpics.net has a pretty good cross-reference on Top punches
