Gonna try pan lubing w/ a beeswax formula. Gonna try a few formulas after searching some of the threads on here.

My question is, "about" how many boolits can you lube with 1lb of beeswax? Assuming that the lube is approx 40-60% beeswax. Largest boolit will be 44.

WAG (wild a## guess) is a perfectly acceptable.

I get between 400-700 boolits per reservoir-full on my Lyman 450, that's about a stick and a half of commercial or a little over two ounces.

With approx 2 lbs of lube, my WAG would be a couple thou boolits. Let us know how you make out. enjoy Mike

i figured between 3-500 a stick so gears estimate is pretty close.
size of the lube groove plays a key.
i have two 240 gr 44 cal boolit molds one stick will do 500 of that one. the other it will only do about 350.

Basically it sounds anywhere between 2000-5000 boolits. Works for me, was wondering if 2lbs of beeswax was gonna last awhile based upon how much I shoot....could last a couple of years...LOL.

I bought 3lbs, mixed 1 pound of it, and have lubed 100s of 45-70 boolits

I started with two 9 inch pans, I can still lube more before I have to add to it.

Cookie, a little dab will do ya

Depends on the size of the container/# of boolits per batch/# of lube grooves etc, you will have a minimum "working" amount to cover all the grooves, then you have to maintain that level batch-to-batch as you pan lube. If you use a pound of wax to make your lube cookie, then you really only have one pound of lube left for consumption if you started with two pounds. I know, I'm Captain Obvious at 11:45 PM!
