looking for group wisdom/experience. in the components crunch last year, picked up a couple thousand federal 150M match primers. is this a more highly quality controlled primer than std 150's? is it a cooler primer in any manner or suitable for use as a direct sub for 150's? looking to try in 475 bfr with 400 gr lbt wfn's and hs6/blue dot/power pistol range of powders. anyone have experience with these. my 20yr old chrono has finally bitten the dust, so only have bench results to compare to std primers, for now. curious as to other's results. thx for usual sage advice.

should be little or no difference between a std. primer and a match. There match because someone took more care in assembling the same components that are in a standard one.

thanks, lloyd. it's pretty much what i'd thought, but also considered they might be most useful in lighter loads built for best accuracy in 45acp or smaller capacity calibers. heading to the range as we speak, so should have my answer pretty quickly. i'll advise results. thx.
