Found some in my powder safe, I think I put it away years ago because I couldn't figure what to do with it! Does anyone have loading data, or a source for load data? Probably either 38/357Mag/44Mag or various military rifle cartridges (7 or 8 mm, '06, 30-40 Krag).

Thanks,
Jim

There is data in the Speer #10 manual.. the one that is orange and green. I can probably dig up some data.

Thanks Sargenv! I've got a copy of that around here somewhere, that should get me started.

The Lyman Cast Bullet Manual #3 (brown cover) also has data, probably their other load manuals as well from the time period...Ray

Do a search on AL-5 and go to "Using old powder, AL-5", 3-24-2010; I posted some loads from Speer there.

I worked up a load in .40S&W using AL5. Works pretty good.

I followed up on the links posted here, and found enough data to let me happily burn up my supply of AL-7 in the .38s and .357s thanks to BerdanIII and Fatelk. Thanks guys!
