I load it in the .223 & have good luck. It was much easier to get the Bator to shoot well than it was to get the Lyman 225415 to shoot well.

Awesome. I just got one on order. 224 projectiles are tough to find for a non-swagging caster

I hope that you are patient. I probably waited 6 or 8 months to get mine. The wait go to being so long, that I ordered a second one to help Midsouth reach their minimum so that they could place their order with Lee. It didn't take long for someone to contact me & take that second one off my hands. Those Bator molds are hard to buy, but easy to sell. I don't know why Midsouth doesn't make them a stock item.
PLEASE excuse my ignorance - but what is 'BATOR'?

I believe 'Bator' was the designer.
You'll find a 'NuJudge' bullet around here too.

I wanted a Bator real bad and a while back, one came up on Fleabay. It was a new one, and I ended up paying a premium price, but sometimes that is what you have to do. It is kinda like paying a couple of bucks for a drink from a convenience store when you can go to the grocery store and buy the same drink for half the price. At least that is how I rationalize it. I think it is actually pretty smart for someone to buy something low and sell it high. More power to them if they can do it!

The Bator is a special order Lee mold that you get from Midsouth. They take a long time to get, because Midsouth waits until they have a certain number of them on back order before they place the order with Lee. The C225-55-RF at the top of this webpage is the Bator.

It is the only .225 mold that I own. I use it in the .223 and .219DW.
