8mm Lebel in a Mle. 16 Mannlicher-Berthier

Greetings all:

I recently acquired a Mle. 16 Mannlicher-Berthier, it is in very good shape, an excellent bore. IT does have the N on the receiver indicating that it has been modified to allow the machine gun rounds to be fired. I am looking for a load that would make a good starting point. I normally use 2400. I am thinking about 16 grains. And, should I use a filler?

16 grains is absolutely fine. You can probably start and stop with that load. Do not use a filler with 2400!

I used 12.5 of Red Dot and the Lee bullet for the 95 Styer sized to 326. This was a real winner in my sporter Lebel and Dad's Berthier.
