Mold Suggestions for Ruger Mini 30 7.62X39

Getting Katie a Mini 30 and want to know what mold to look at for it. I understand that the Ruger's usually slug out at .308".

And I use a Lyman 311041 w/16.0 gr. of 2400 in the Mini .30.

I don't have any experience with the Mini-30, but the Lee 312155 and 19.0 gr AA1680 works very well in my 2 AR's in 7.62 x 39.

Concur. That is one heckuva good boolit. Versatile too. I size it down and load it for 30-06 and it shoots very fine. Does well in the Enfield .303, but is just a tad bit light for my taste but nonetheless, shoots better than I ever dreamed it would.

And of course, in the application in which it was designed for, it's king.

I use a Lee CTL312-160-2R, sized down to .311 for my SKS with 13gr of H4198... shoots nice.

And :( I buy new brass from Midway... sucks... $20 for 50 and man do I make sure EVERYONE comes home with me :) from the range.

I use a Lee CTL312-160-2R as well for my 7.62x39 SR Mauser. Great boolit for that cartridge.

It was only the early Mini-30's that had the .308 bore. Newer ones are .311.
