When I started reloading ,45 years ago, I got the Uniflow powder measure for a gift. I still us it today. I only have the drum for the heavy powder charges. I would like to get one of the drums for the light powder charges. Does anyone have any expierience with this drum and dropping light powder (pistol) charges. Does it work well (drop consistant charges) with the flake powders (Unique) etc. I mostly use the Unique, Universal, Herco, Win231.

I use the small drum for all the powders I have:
Bullseye
231
Titegroup
700-x
HS-6
2400
Lilgun
Clays
Universal
Trailboss

and it works fine.

I only use the small drum. Fine for dropping pistol powder. Also use it to drop powder for .30/06, 7x57,.223, .257 AI. and similar size cases. For longer extruded powder (IMR) I drop light and trickle to full load. Ball and flake powder drop consistently.

I have small and large for uniflo but don't think I would trust small for less than 5 grains of unique- bullseye. I use lyman 55 for small charges in .25- .32-.38. Pass the word if it works well for you.
