Took my 45/70 Guide gun to the range today to sight in the scope. Older Weaver 1.5x4.5

It was really windy out so I only shot at 25 yards to sight in the scopes. The guide gun must like my reloads as it shot once I sighted it in a 5 shot group in one ragged hole horizontally which I suspect was me with the horizontal grouping since my eyes were watering from the wind plus its that time of year for allergies with the dead grass ect.. My Reload was 24 grains of 2400 Remington Primer Winchester and Remington/Peters brass mixed and Remington Large Rifle Primers. Bullet was the Lee 405 grain .459 Hollow Base which I sized to .459. I guess the Marlin likes that bullet I shot offhand once at two other targets and one was dead center and the other was a half inch off of center. Looks like I got a keeper with the gun and the load.

Wow, another bullet the the Guide Gun shoots good. Are there bullets it doesn't like, is the question? My guide gun is deadly accurate with a low mounted 2.5-8 scope, low power for the brush and higher power for the beer cans at long range.

They probably went dry on him. I know that I hate it when they do that to me. I crush then as punishment.
