Make one. My ole man used to make them all the time.
He won the Can-Am 1000 yard open with a rack grade A303.
Its only mod was a taller hand made front blade, made from aircraft aluminum.

Yes, I've thought about making one. Would prefer to have USGI. Northridge and Sarco seem to be hit and miss. I've ordered from them before. Bill Ricca ( first class guy/parts) is out.
Chargar, what where the condition of the sites from Gunparts Corp? Did they have different heights?

The Marines had a taller than usual front sight blade to put the zero at (I believe--my memory is not too good these days) 100 yards. I don't remember the height but at one time Gunparts Inc. had some of those. You might want to check with them. James

Lyman use to make a replacement blade with an ivory bead. I have a couple. The 1/16" ivory bead is the better one, IMO. I think they had them with a gold bead.

Northridge, Inc use to be Sherwood. Their store was on Parthenia St. in Northridge. I worked in Chatsworth for many years. In the late 80s I'd go over to National Gun Sales down the street from Sherwood and look at their rather large rack of m/96 Swedish Mausers $69.95 at the time. Sherwood had some very neat stuff in the store. At one time they had a very large private gun collection for sale including very nice Winchesters, Colts. I remember a Colt Shooting Ace .45 Colt brand new in the box. It was a bunch of bucks.

I remember when Sherwood had the Israeli M1 carbines and M1D Garands. The carbines were $169. I bought one a Quality Hardware that was a fresh rebuild with new barrel. The M1D were $695 and not bad at all. Not beat up. Used and taken care of.

Northridge, Inc is now in San Fernando. Ten or twelve miles from where it was. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley.
