I wanted to say thanks for all the good advice that is on here.
I purchased a new Lee 20lb ladle dip pot and a lyman ladle earlier this week from Natchess and they showed yeasterday. I fired up the new pot this morning and man it makes a huge differance in my casting. I had been using a 4lb pot and a small Lee ladle with good sucess but the differance in the ability to hold temp in the 20 lb pot and the differance between the lyman ladle and the spoon type Lee is HUGE!!!
I have a much better fill out in the mold and fewer rejects. Casting the little 65gr 25 calibers is much easier as well. I didn't realize what I was missing.
Tomorrow I'm going to try my 45-70 mold and see how it works.
