I have an M-39 with a scout scope adapter using the tangent sight base, and tried using a Pistol scope without much success. I would like to get geared up for our military matches shooting at 100 and 200 yard targets Would anybody be willing to recommend a scope brand and magnification that is working for you shooting at these distances.

Leupold and Burris both make excellent scout scopes. Both are 2.5X. I have both plus a Burris Scout in 1.5X and a Burris in 3X. All are excellent and very useful if mounted correctly. With an aiming point I can see i can shoot sub MOA with any of them. A bullseye at 100 or 200 yards is an easy target to hold center on. Actually a 3" bull at 100 or a 6" bull at 200 yards is about right. I prefer a 2 - 3" diamond though.
