The rifle was designed for a P/P boolit.
I have 2 of them.
One loves the .318 P/P boolit and the one I proof fired today hates them but does great with a lubed, gas checked boolit.
Havent figured it out yet and was looking for any ones help.
P/P it shoots far to the left and down about 12 inches.
lubed it will hit the gong 4 out of 5 at 100 yards.
Can't figure it out.
Need help!

That is an issue. I have had them go up and down, but never left.
Sounds like a bedding issue.
Patched loads get hot. My SMLE moves the POA when it gets hot, up or down with each shot at a point. Even letting the barrel get to where I could touch it easily, it still moved.
Bedding the barrel, no further issues.

It sounds like you got the load right for the first rifle first time but not for the second rifle. What load did you use? Any other details would be helpful too.

I finally got to test my patched loads and they worked! (With one rifle, anyway. The other was a disaster, so I'm in the same boat).

The load data is as follows.
Please understand I was only trying to proof fire these weapons and now that I know they will fire correctly will try working up a load for them.
My concern was one fires the P/P well and the other doesn't.
P/P

Lyman 314299 sized to .308 and P/P to .318 which is groove size.
IMR 4895 26.1 grains
Slight crimp with Lee factory crimp die to ensure boolit secure in clip
Coal 2.91

Lube boolit
Lee C324-170-F sized to .318 which si groove size , Gassed checked and tumbled lubed with alox/JPW

All rounds fired same day at 100 yard target
IMR 4895 29.0 grains
Slight crimp to hold boolit while in clip
Didn't measure COAL

The P/P works well in the weapon with a shiny ,mirror bore.
The lube boolit works well in a weapon with a dark but good bore.
