I`ve started castin for my 30-30 & reddot was somewhat sooty to say the least !
I compared load density & burn rate to Hodgdons CLAYS & loaded 7.5 grs clays , it gave me 1310 fps out my marlin so backed off to & settled on 7.0 grs of CLAYS
Much cleaner & with Lars carnauba red the bore remains shiney !!!
It clustered up nicely on the target also !! but gonna shoot for groups tomorrow hopefully & update
& I recieved my sizer die & checks so I decided to start with the `06 also & loaded 9.5 grs. of 700x . & checked boolits since my alloy gives up around 1250fps , we`ll see!!!
