My Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook doesn't list anything _FOR 9mm, no 40 S&W listed-heavier than 125 gr., which starts Red Dot at 3.8 and maxes out at 4.5. I wouldn't hazard a guess for the 155.
WOW! I saw 9mm, not 40 S&W, change noted.

swally, this info is from "Modern Reloading 2nd ed. by Richard Lee. The data is for a 150 gr. jacketed bullet but should give you something close to work with.

Red Dot 5.3 gr. start 1060 fps.--5.9 gr max 1155 fps. Both compressed loads.

700x 5.0 gr start 1028 fps. --5.5 gr max 1120 fps., compressed.

OP,

try THIS (http://www.handloads.com/loaddata/default.asp?Caliber=40%20SqqqW&Weight=155&type=Handgun&Order=Powder&Source=) site. (Click on link).

Swally,

This is why you'll frequently see members here recommending that you have more than one handloading manual. One gives you a "tunnel vision" idea of what can be done with the available powders and bullets. Having two is better, and three, better still.

There are also a number of reputable on-line sources (Hodgdon being the most extensive I know of) that will provide safe, tested loads.

Regards,

Stew

Alliant also has data online.

http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/default.aspx?page=/reloaders/index.aspx&

However, they don't seem to list any Red Dot loads for .40 S&W.

I have a few different manuals just none are much help for instance the speer and nosler manuals arent much help for cast data neither offer cast boolits for sale and the other @ manuals not much cast info either.

I run reddot for all 9mm and 40cal loads before alliant powder changed there website the had data listed for reddot and 40cal but as i just checked they no longer show the data. I have been running 4.5gr of reddot with 175gr lswc for quite awhile no with no issues runs great and good accuracy out of my S&w M&P.
