What's going on over there? I ordered my 1903A3 stock last month and got it this week. They sent me a 1903 stock. No problem, I called the next day and they shipped me another next day. I got home today and there it was. Opened it up and it's another 1903 stock! I'm worried they aren't going to believe me.

Slightly different inletting - slightly different barrel contour, and the O3A3 needs the handguard retaining ring cutout in front of the receiver ring. The 1903 stock is inletted for the rear sight base on the barrel.

Some of their duties are handled by volunteers.

Big difference is the top hand guard. 03 is shorter because where the rear sight is mounted.

Retail ops is not one of them (http://www.thecmp.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7483&highlight=volunteer). Volunteers help with receiving and cataloging large shipments. But pulls for sales are handled by staff.

I would suggest to the OP the following steps.

Register at the CMP forums (link above). Post a question of how to proceed in the 'Ask Orest' forums. Orest Michaels, the COO, is very active there and will give you a steer on how to get this resolved. You may also encounter someone on the forum who wants a 1903 and as an A3 that will trade.
