I've been hunting with a marlin 1895cb. Been shooting cast ww from a rcbs mold for 405 gr. with 40 gr of 3031. Now I'm toying with the Idea of going to blackpowder as I did in my old rolling block and thought I might even try some pp boolits.
Are straight ww to hard to perform well with bp and pp? They test at about 14 with a Lee hardness tester.

It's harder than most would use for paper patching, but the alloy can always be softened up with the addition of some pure lead.
Of more immediate interest is the mould you will need to acquire...which throws a bullet suitable for 'classic' paper patching.
Any ideas you want to discuss?

that light of a bullet with black will have a hard time sealing the bore especially if you seat it deep to make it work in a lever gun It does happen but it is hard to get 100 % feeding reliability with lever guns
