Well I made my first trip to the range yesterday.
Took a few of the old timers with me.
A 71/84 Mauser, a 1888 commission rifle , a rebuilt M95 Steyr .
A good time was had by all.
We raised a lot of eyebrows from the jet set with their 50BMG's and bench rest rifles.
Guy at the next station wanted where I had the 71/84 built. Even some of the old timers stopped by for a look see.

The show stopper was the 1888 commission rifle when the confetti started to fly from the PP boolits.

The old 71/84 is a hoot to shoot and even tho I was not trying for accuracy it did very well.
After the 2 year period that I have taken to rebuild it, it was a gas just to see it fire.

I am glad it wasn't evening as the steyr muzzle blast was something to see apparently as a couple of the spray and pray group came over to see what it was and asked where to buy one
