Noob ?

I have been using Lee molds and like them, but I got myself a used Lyman mold and was wondering if I need to oil them before storing them & what do you clean them with be fore using them,is there anything else about there use that are differant than the Lee molds.Thanks.

I use kroil oil to store mine with because you can cast with it in the mould so i dont have to clean it again. You can clean the mould with soap and water HOT use a soft brush Tooth brush is a good thing to use then heat the mould up to get rid of any water to advoid rust. Oil it down and bag it but dont use a air tight container because it will sweat and cause rust. Iam sure some others have some other ideals to share with you. But when i get mine clean to use from then on I just use kroil to protect them when I go to cast I just heat them up and start casting.
