I drove a gasoline Tank Truck for 33 years and I used to pick up those heavy! weights at the truck tire shop all the time some of them weighed a !/2 a pound.

Yup, I've had them up to 9 ounces. Suitable for wall mounting!

I just melted down 62# today, and a full 1/4 of them were truck weights. Big suckers...love it!

I picked up a couple hundred pounds of these last week. The guy told me he worked for a garage for trucks. He had these sitting for the last ten years and I was lucky enough to find them.
I NEED MORE LEAD!!

The last batch I got had one that weighed 350gr. Wish there were more of them. Those little ones that are no bigger that the clip they hang on are almost not worth the effort.

You say that now. Wait a couple years, we'll be begging to even get those little suckers.:-?

I just smelted almost 200 pounds of truck weights from the recycler…brand shiney new. They didn't even smell bad. Most were 10-ounce. Endangered species is right—some tire shop must have had a visit from the whellweight police in California.

Typecaster, from what I hear about Kalifornia you're lucky that the recycler let you have them, untrained civilian handling highly toxic material.:kidding:
