I'm sure this has been covered before, but the search terms pretty much bring up every post on this forum, or none.
I'm trying to size and lube today's production of 452-460 on my RCBS Lube-A-Matic II. I'm using Lyman H&I dies, .452 & 460.
The first problem, I cannot adjust the LAMII to stop the downward stroke until the boolit is far, deep inside the sizer. It just doesn't have enough thread on the screw to do stop it any higher. I'm not sure if that would help my situation if I could, because I've tried short stroking it and it doesn't help problem #2.
Problem #2- I get lube under the boolit no matter what I do. A lot! Like an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch. Usually with rifle boolits (what I usually cast) a little variation in sizing depth takes care of this. Nothing seems to help with this setup.
Do I need to buy an RCBS sizer die, or am I just missing something obvious?
