25-06 help needed.

Can anyone recommend a good cast load for a 25-06. It has a mauser action and a commercial barrel. It shoots very well with jacketed but I would prefer to use cast. Thanks in advance.

I have the SAECO 100gr. borerider, and my wife's 700 shoots it well with about any reasonable powder charge. I think I used 4759 most of the time. I will look in my notes when I am home.

TwoTrees is a 25-06 cast shooter as well. I stick to my 257 Roberts but the Lyman 100gr does good for me as well in a 1-10 twist barrel.

Don't know if this will be of any help, but here are some velocities with various powders. I'm shooting a 90gr Bond RN GC out of a 24" barrel also on a Mauser action. I haven't shot for any groups yet, need the time and decent weather to get to the range again.

That BIG case and small bore always intimidates me. I have tried cast in a 250 savage and a 25TC/U contender with good to excellent results. A BAD experience with the 25-06 and a mismarked powder makes me shudder when I think of the 25-06 and cast!
