I think that everyone would be interested ( I know I would) in pictures of there animal kills or some sanctioned pictures of the groups they have fired. We have seen the pictures of 44Mans kills and 1 other mans but never the others who post. Come on you frequent posters lets see some pictures.

Go to my profile, for my album. The only ones not shot with cast, were a few with scatter guns, and arrows.

Thanks! Nowadays mainly in North Carolina -- it's closer for me. Some of the above photos were in NC and some were in Florida -- where I used to live and hunt a lot.

Regardless of where they are from, man they are nice. I can just hear 44 Man in the background saying "WOW" I just gotta get me one of them Hogs, LOL.
You didn't happen to see that special (Discovery I think) called "Pig Bomb", about the birth explosion of pigs/hogs in the wild taking place? From all those awesome pictures I think you would really enjoy that show.

Here are a couple of warthogs taken with a S&W 629 with a 6.5"
Powerport barrel and a 2x Nikon scope. The first one was a 75+ yds and
the other one was more like 20-25 yds. One shot each, RCBS 44-250-K
50-50 Pb/lino over 20.0 gr 2400.

That first one might be a bit familiar. :-)

NICE Bill. Are those things good to eat, like pork?
I am curing a little boar roast and will smoke it this weekend for bacon. I can't wait to see how it is.

MtGun44

Excellent eating, exactly like pork in my limited exposure. We had some at a friend's place,
slow cooked over a fire, their version of barbeque - top notch. I expect that they would need
slow cooking to tenderize, much like any wild pig, but when cooked right it as good as any that
I have ever had. They also have the bush pig which the locals shoot more often for eating,
not sure if it is better eating or just that they save the warthogs for trophy hunters. Bush
pigs do not have the big tusks.

I used 3 rds to verify scope zero and 2 more hunting. The Professional Hunter (guide) purchased
the remaining 45 rounds (cheap) for his Dad who hunts bush pigs for meat with a .44 mag Contender.

Dan I remember you were one of the first guys that talked to me when I first came here, first time I've seen your kills, awesome..

Bill, those wart hogs are awesome, man would I like to have a chance at one of them. However I doubt seriously if Maryland will be importing anything with hog in it's name after that "Pig Bomb" show on Discovery, LOL!

Warf73, that picture with your son explains everything and says it all, nice hog. However, didn't your mama tell you about eating with just a knife, get a fork, Warf, LOL.

XBT that's a nice pronghorn and a super picture with those mountains in the background.

Waksupi, that is an impressive bunch of photos.

44Man what can I say, you have just got to stop using those decoys as your kills. Get Whitworth to show you the ropes, LOL. Cute hat though, try turning that sucker around backwards, LOLAL.

This has been really awesome, its really great to connect the faces with those that have been successful in there hunting endeavors. Maybe there will be some more pictures, after all it "is" what the site is all about.

Whitworth and I worked with one and cured a lot of problems by cutting down .460 brass so we could use a LP mag primer. Then even 296 worked with starting loads. Got rid of ignition and ES problems with much better accuracy.
The SR primer in .454 cases is the cause of most problems. You need to run at full throttle with slow powders and there are still ES and SD troubles.
Try it, you will be happy and then we can see some game pictures shot with your gun. :bigsmyl2:

Well this is turning out great, Awesome pictures from everyone. Those guys in the South are really making me envious. I want to get me a hog really bad!

As for 44Man, he definitely needs what women call a " makeover". I figure if he had Jeff's shirt, those great Levi shorts of Dan's, Bill's hat (I want one of those) , and Whitworths goatee, he could be made into the terror of the deer woods, Hell, he might even be able to learn to call hogs if those southern guys gave him some pointers, LOLAL.

That is definately a plan. It really has me scratching my head. It doesn't shoot 45LC ammo worth a ****. I measured the cylinder throats and they were spot on. I'm getting mediocre groups at 50 yards with it right now, using a 454424HP over 20 grains of 2400. I'm not trying for thunder and lightning with it. I just want to shoot 45LC +P level loads, and enjoy the reduced recoil due to the extra weight of this revolver versus my 5.5" blackhawk. Got a half dozen of those cut down 460's I could try? I don't want to buy 100 of them, and then have it not be the solution to MY issue.
Thanks,
Dan
p.s. sorry about the hijack.

Here's a hog I got about 3 years ago. Came trotting out of the woods about 40 yds away when I took him with an S&W 4" M629 44 Mag through the shoulders with a 240 HP. Ran about 50 yds and piled up dead-as-a-shovel. Although you can't tell from this pic, our de-liar said he weighed 205 lbs on the hoof.

Here's my most recent (taken a week ago) -- a Corsican ram, taken with .338 Contender wildcat, loaded with the 240 grain Lyman 33889 HP at about 1600 fps.
