i did some testing with the buff classic using the lee 500r cast bullet and gas check fitted and a custom cast 350 grn with gascheck. the 500r load was dooing 1679fps through the crono and the 350 grn custom was dooing 1995 fps through the crono. set up target a 25 meters shot 3 of the 350 grn then 3 of the 512 grn 500r the 350 grn where hitting 1/2" higher than the 512 grn moved target to 50 meters and shot again point of impact the same with both bullet's. moved target to 100 meters and the 512 grn bullet was hitting 1-1/4" higher than the 350 grn bullet, moved target out to 200 meters the 512grn where hitting 1-3/4" higher than the 350grn bullet.all the test shot's done with the sight set the same for both bullet's.i think it is because the lee 500r bullet has a bc of .443 as to the bc of the 350 grn of around 215. which leeds to a flatter Trajectory. that is what i conclude any outher sugestions.

You's pretty much conclude correctly. The flight path arch of that 350 demands a whole different sight in to get any distance at all out of it.I know ,I shoot an LBT WFN 340 with a BC of .055,with extra high mounts on my marlin lever and cookin the puppy out at over 2100 I can maintain a vertical strike math that is minute of large whitetail...They were designed for two totally different jobs bro. By the way a buddy is strugglin with a buff classic. Can I ask your best accuracy and load?

Assuming the BC are accurate and you are shooting open sights with a front sight height of 0.9" and your 50-meter strikes were at point of aim. I used the Precision Ballistics Module to calculate the trajectory and bullet path of both bullets to obtain a theoretical difference in point of impact at each range.
Hopefully the table below will correctly display the results.

If your 50-meter impact points were substantially above or below the point of aim, or if the BC or front sight height are way off, it would change the strike differences at each range.

For what it's worth, these are the results of the calculations

tom the bc fore the lee 500r is .443 as per lee but the bc for th 350 grn is a rugh gess it is quite similar to the lee 340 grn that has a bc of .211. the sights are lyman .404 globe up front and smith buck horn lader sight with peep hole slider at rear. charger 1 has your budy sluged his bore if he hasent then tell him to get it sluged ,when i sluged mine my barrel, it is tighter at the muzzel than at the breech.
