Best Low Flash powder?

Hi All,

Can any of you reccomend a powder that has a low flash type powder for self defence loads.

I want something for use the 40S&W & the Colt 45 acp

Havn't checked flash in years because of the lack of reasoning on my part. In the older days, the powder of choice by a long shot for the two case capacities you are talking about was/is AL5, that is, Alcan #5. It is a double base powder, so should you find it on the shelves somewhere, it will be good assuming it was kept at a constant temp. ... felix

Clays is low flash.

Don't know about "low flash", but I can tell you one that is "high flash", even in daylight it's noticeable, and that is HS-6...
