Here's the results of a preliminary load that was recommended from a member here. I was satisfied with the results, and only being a starter load it showed some good accurate findings. These were @ 40 yards, 9:00 am on a nice day in Texas, 68 degrees, no wind.

not bad for shooting a gc boolit with no gc (at least that's what the boolit looks like to me)

nice gun! ;)

I have one just like it!

What mold did they come from? What lube did you use? Nice shooting.

It appear to be the LEE 240 GC boolit minus the check. If they were shot without the check, I'd like to see a re-test with check if possible. I've never tried shooting a GC boolit without one, but have heard of many doing it.

The boolit came from a Lee 240 grn GC, Sized to .431, The lead is from range mining and then adding some tin, The lube is a mixture is parafin/vaseline/stp oil treatment. There was no leading at all during the test, there was a lube star @ the crown which tells me that the lube was working. I shot 3 strings of this load, the accuracy of all strings were in the same ball park. Still working on the shots that were to the left of the main group. any suggestions? I'll re-test with gas checks this week, and post the results here. I'll take better pictures next time.

I suggest you move the target out to 75 yds. :)
