I wanted to cast some of the new 440 grain 50 caliber boolits for the NEF 500 S&W that I recently got, so I cast those and some 250 grain 35 caliber as well - helps to have two molds going at the same time... though, next time I will pick a more compatible pair - the 35 Cal Saeco mold is a steel one holer and the Lee is aluminum and two big cavities - they cast completely differently and like the lead at different temps...

That's a loaded round with 350 grain Berry's plated bullets next to a couple of the newly cast Lee boolits. Also have a 310 grain Lee 44 cal and the 250 grain 35 cal boolits for comparison.
Used Lyman no. 2 alloy and Hornady gas checks. Sized in Lee sizing dies - .501"
Planning on loading them over 38 and 40 grains of H110, respectively for 1800 to 1950 fps from the NEF. Not the max load but plenty of poop for me!
I still haven't shot the NEF with its new aperture sights installed but will shoot the plated bullets first and then clean the bore before trying these bad boys out.
