Hi all I have a couple of Austin & Halleck 420 inlines and have always shot sabot bullets threw them. Now that I have been bitten by the "Casting Bug" I got to thinking about the front stuffer's. Whats a good boolit for them, mine are 50 cal & in a sabot set up they like a 365+/- . With a sabot they will shoot 1" @ 100yds, shooting a Dead Center bullet from PR Bullets.
I was thinking that I could shoot them more if I cast an accurate boolit. The cost of buying bullet/sabot's from the "Big Boys" is getting up there.
Don't know if it makes a difference but I'm also using the Blackhorn 209 powder in them, clean, clean clean... no more crusted breech plugs & can shoot 50 shots before I have to run a spit patch down the bore.
