Best bet is the Ranch Dog mold designed for the .375 Win. Best of all he even has one in stock, with the correct sizer and it's cheap at $36.50 with sizer. Grab it before it's gone.

Lloyd,

You want some samples? I have 3 different designs for the 38-55 that ought to work.

Lloyd,

I like the Lyman 375449. Did you have a problem with it?

I used a .377" 220gr LBT / LFN boolit. Fed STOS.

Good afternoon
I fire the Lyman / Ideal 375248 in all my 375´´s 38-55 and my DW 375 Supermag revolver. With linetype it will chug right along.
In my DW 375 I used 50/50 at 1250 fps (Acc1680) to plop my last revolver buck.
Unfortunatly the state of ILL does not allow rifle cartriges for deer... But the 375248 will really put the hurt to coyotees and groundhogs.

I am with Garandsrus, I too like the 375449. A friend had a 375 mauser wildcat that had issues and we used a round nose top punch to slightly round the nose.

I use the 375449 in 1897 Win. 94/38-55, marlin 38/55 as well as a 375BB and it works slick as snot in all three and use the same bullet and load in a 1885 hi wall for 600 yd. competition, super bullet.

Lyman makes a 335 grain round nose mould. Seems ;like that should feed in a lever action just fine.

The Lyman 335 grain boolit is too long for a lever action and is made for the single shot rifles.

I have used both the lyman 248 gr and the Lee 250 gr RFN bullets in my 38-55s both lever and single shots and they perform well for me. I have mostly been using the Lee bullet as it carries more lube for BP.

The 379-250-rf Lee works very well in my 94 Big Bore. I did need to polish the mold out but I always expect that with a two gang Lee mold.
