and what velocity will it support?????????:shock:

Barry Darr recipe. Mainly for target handgun, but I have used it up to around 1700fps in 44 mag rifles and 30-06.

That's pretty close to the original Darr lube, but I believe he used RCBS case die lube instead of STP most of the time and AFAIK, he did very little pistol shooting with it... he was mostly a schuetzen guy with plain base lead bullets and moderate smokeless loads for the time I knew (and knew of) him. The last time we spoke at Etna Green, he still maintained that this was about as good a lube for our application as any, and of course he had the track record to prove it! :brokenima

PS If Charlie Dell's lube research is to be believed (and if you are reading this and don't know who Charlie Dell was, back away from the lube pot and get some more information about lube, lead bullets and rifles before you hurt yourself) you can expect the Darr-type formulae to run out of lubricity before you get up to the 2100 fps range and will probably get stringy type leading in your barrel. It seems to work best at velocities of about 1600 fps or less, preferably less.
