ok guys i got a call today about my internet, i need some info from you super computer guys. im right now at 512k, i can upgrade to 3mb for .04 cents cheaper you heard that right lol. but i also can upgrade to 1.5mb for like 15 dollars cheaper. i need to know if the 3mb would be that big of a differance between the 1.5 please help thnansk guys.

512k is 1/2 MB; so going to 3MB is 6 times faster. Your 1.5MB would be 3 times your present speed. DSL or cable should be 1500MB, should cost about $25 to $30 a month. That's about the speed I'm getting from my wireless (Keyon, $30 a month). Out here in beautiful Pahrump, dial-up gives you about 25k, incredibly slow, DSL and cable is not available for most of the valley.

Jballs, if your only browsing the internet, and maybe downloading something big once in a while, 1.5 Mb is just fine. A 3.0 Mb connection for one computer is overkill unless your big into Online gaming, or downloading Large files constantly. But for normal web browsing, 1.5 Mb is perfect.
