:grin: well this is my first post, but i've been readin' and learnin' from this forum for awhile.anyway i bougth a 88 comm. rifle years ago from a friend at his pawnshop. it's not been modified,but is missin' the cleanin' rod o'h well. i shot some factory loads in it and was not impressed,and have fired some handloads for k98 & yugo through it not any better acuraccy. i have the lee 324-175 they drop at .325, and i use a lee push sizer opened to .325 to seat the gc. but the other day i sluged the bore on the 88comm. and it is .313 bore .327 groove , no wonder it don't shoot for hoot. :( well i whould like some advice from you smart feller's on what to do, i've thougth about buyin the lee 329-205. but anyway i whould like to know what yall thinks bout it.:Fire:

I got some boolits I cast from the lee .329 205 gr. mold you can have to try in your gew 88 to see if you like em for the cost of shippin.I think i may have a spare .329 lee mold also.Mike

Do a search for "beageling" and yu will find your answer.

That's pretty impressive and not in a good way. The original bore dimensions were around .321 across the grooves.

The question is, will a .329 slug chamber? And if so, you may have to get a new expander for the die set.

:Fire: yes it thought i was wrong but i'vechecked 3 times,2 slugs in muzzle 1 in the chamber. i had thougth i maybe had crown wear as you is comon in milsurp rifle soliders did'nt know any better or cared long as it fired. but that mesurement was consistant in around the groove. i wonder to if a .329 slug will chamber, i could size the boolit to groove size or .0005- .001 bigger. i'm not expecting a tack diver but like at least hit a paper plate @ 50yd. :castmine: maybe not.

The .329 boolits I have are cast from Wheel weights.I can make them harder by adding some Linotype.Mike
