Hi Guys,
I have a old Ideal mold marked 308291
Would this be the same as the lyman 311291?
It sure looks the same, and boolits fall from it
at around .312 dia.
Thanks for any info you might supply

Yes, it should be the same thing. I have an old single cavity Ideal mould marked 308284 and it's the same thing as a 311284. Does your have vent lines in the block faces? Mine doesn't but casts very well.

Yes, it has vents and is a double cavity and makes very good
boolits. I was going to order the 311291 and happen to find
this one in the bottom of the mold box and thought i'd check
it out. Thanks

I have this mould and it is a very good shooter from the getgo. Was great in a number of 5 groove 1917 enfield barrels at high velocity. Also worked very well in an M1 Garand. Good Luck.

I think I'll give it a spin in my Rem 03.
