I don't Cast
So I need to find out where to order from and what to order ?
Whats the best Boolit ?
I would like to shoot the Silly Wet matches at my Local club.
I will be shooting a 1942 Remington 03A3, 4 groove barrel

Thanks

If no one else offers assistance I will be glad to take your order. You can choose from a good selection at our site. There is a link at the bottom of this page.

What ever bullet you chose I would suggest nothing smaller in diameter than .311.

Strongly suggest you stay with quality casters like Bullshop or Beartooth with good lubes and gas checks, and like 44wcf says, probably.311.

Didn't realize Cast rifle bullets were the same price as
standard Jacketed bullets :(
I was thinking they would be less expensive :-?
Thats one reason I reload for the handguns with Cast, I can do alot more shooting for less money

OK;
I have found a few places online selling Non-GC bullets that are
more within my budget.
Midstates, Magnus, Chey-Cast and a few others
$12 per 100 to $20 per 250 Non-GC.
They are .309 - .310
Do they need to be GC ? will these work OK ?
I just can't afford $20 and up for 100 Cast Bullets for Plinking

That's why you should start casting your own.

Yes they work for plinking, but you're going to have to keep velocity low low low, under 1200 fps at least, maybe under 800 depending on alloy used and lube and bore fit.

No source for Lead around here :(
Is there anywhere to get GC bullets that don't cost $20 per hundred ?

you are paying for time and quality at those rates.
if you cast your own the savings add up after a bit. but once you figure in your time it's a wash.
however the fit to YOUR guns is priceless.
in most of my rifles the boolits i make myself, are actually more accurate than the store bought.
you also have to figure in the cost of the raw materials has risen about 300% in the last year or so.
for both ends of the spectrum.

But you can get the right lead mix from here:

Just a suggestion man. The reason most of us cast our own is because of cost, I just got a call from my shop buddy saying his five gallon bucket is full and I need to come get it but I'm still buying some of this Lyman #2 metal. Pete's a good guy to deal with.
