50-50 Tin/Lead Solder

Is the 50/50 tin/lead solder like they sell at Ace good to add for the tin? Or do I need to find a higher percentage of tin in the solder? How much should I add per 20lb pot?

Yes thats fine but fine the best ratio of tin for the price. If "lead free" ie 99% tin solder is a dollar more a roll get that.

And yes you pinch off a finger sized bit into the pot. :)

9 lbs. of WW and 1b. of 50/50 tin solder makes Lyman #2 Alloy. This is what I use for my 44 mag gc cast boolits.
