Hello all. My WC820 is getting low and my 44 mags are getting hungry!
This is the best looking surp I can find to replace it. BUT I have never used it.
What kind of powder is it ball, flake etc.?
Anyone shot much of this? Like it?
My WC 820 was somewhere between AA9 and H110. Whats this stuff close to data wise (ball park). Just looking for a starting point with 240s if yall like it that is.
Thanks in advance.

its a ball powder just slightly slower then 110/296 you can use starting loads for 110 to get going. It seems to do real well in my guns. I got slightly better results in the 44/45 with 820 but in the 454 475 and 500s the 296 has the edge. But in all reality both do good at all of them. For best results use a mag primer preferably a cci 350 with it.

Lloyd what do you think of 297 in the .41-- I have considered trying it for a while-- and all I have are .41's and .41 wildcats based on the .44 hull and the .445 hull

havent tried it in the 41 yet but it should do fine anywhere 110 does. Its not that much slower burning. Maybe a grain in a 20 grain load
