I'm using Barry Darrs' recipe for pan lubing and when I add crayons for color all the color goes to the bottom of the pan as the lube cools and sets up. Is it supposed to do that?

Try oil paints, cheap at crafts store.

I could never understand the point of adding color. I have a mix of beeswax, crisco, and canola oil. It is a nice 'mellow yellow.' :lovebooli

Use Yaley candle dye available at Michaels craft store. Avoid the flouresent colors as they do not mix well.

Some find, through accuracy testing, that one lube does not fit all. This requires several lubes to get the best accuracy with a variety of guns and velocities. Thus it is most helpful to color code your lubes.

I like the color in my lube to be able to verify complete coverage faster.

I am a colorholic, I have been known to re-do my lube because the color blue was a little to light.
