Took a last-minute bet Friday Night and shot pretty good in my bi-monthly Highpower match on Saturday.

405-0X in a 80 shot Course at 100 yards in a NRA Highpower Match.

308 Winchester - mixed brass and primers
13.5gr of Red Dot (Lee's 1.9cc dipper)
160gr Lee TL Spitzer with Liquid Alox. (sized .310)

My normal Highpower sling didn't fit the sling swivels on my 308 so I shot loose for the entire match. Considering this is my normal plinking load in one of my older rifles it was nice to at least be out there shooting it. The Old Mauser's military trigger needs work as I had several horizontal strings in the match.

Definitely plan on refining the load and eliminating the variables (brass, primers and weighing the charges) next time. I may go and use my 170gr 311291s next time though. They are usually more accurate in this rifle but I didn't have enough cast for the complete course of fire.
