Ruger P345 magazine

Somebody recently told me that a 1911 magazine could be modified with slight work to fit a Ruger P345. Anybody know if that's true?

I have a P90, and I believe the magazines are the same. The P90 magazine notch is exactly 1/2 inch lower than the 1911 magazine. If you cut this notch... it still won't work. The P90 magazine has a squared off front, while the 1911 magazine is round in the front. The P90 needs this square edge to engage the magazine latch. This will only work in your P345 if when you insert a 1911 magazine, the magazine catch button presses down.

The front edge of the mags for my 345 are rounded like 1911 mags. That's one of the reasons I'm thinking the guy is right.

That's kind of odd since P90, P95, and P345 magazines are supposed to be all the same.
