Me and my dad are thinking of getting a Hi-Point 9mm Luger carbine. What is your guys opinion on the gun and the company in general?

Forever warranty, you'll probably never use the warranty, My wife's 995 has had over 4500 rounds thorugh it, lead, jacketed, +p, always goes bang.

I'd wait for the 4595 myself. .45 carbine makes me happy.

My opinion is, I have no opinion.
I've never seen one,
handled one'
or fired one.
Sorry!

Oh and WORST TRIGGER EVER. Got to be 9Lb crunchy, gritty draggy pull with lots of overtravel.

Love to get one of those in 45acp. Bet it's going to be a while before you can get your hands on one. Get the 995, you can always get the 4595 when the supply gets better.

I dont have one, but have shot a few of them. I would personally get the 40 S&W verison.....but Im not a fan of the 9mm.

They are a riot to shoot and will run with about anything you can stuff in the mag.

The new stocks that are out make it looks like a rifle not a toy, if I could find one cheap enough I wouldnt think twice about buying one. Almost bought one at a gun show a few years ago but it didnt have a scope mount on it...come to find out about a week later Hi-Point will send you one.

I've been wanting to get a 40 but never see one. They sell quick when they get them and when I see one it's in a 9mm. I wish they made something other than single stack mags too. I have never shot one though but they have come aways since they first come out. Their pistols were heavy and boxy. I had a 40 and my friend had a 9mm. They shoot good for the money and usually can be fed about anything. The newer ones are lighter and better shaped and you can even get one with a laser site. I don't have one now though.

Buddy of mine had one in .40.
Fed everything thrown down the pipe and would hit anything it was pointed at.
He sold it to another buddy's young son. Last I heard he had shot just about every varmint in that corner of the county with it.
If I see one in .45 ACP, I'll have to have one.
