Can find no pictures or instructions for priming on a Spar-t press. These are the parts and pieces I have managed to scrounge up. What is the square spring for? Are all the pieces here? Seems like there should be something to keep the primer feed from just flopping around. The pictures aren't too good. Thanks in advance for any help. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii153/ShrnShndl/100_0592.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii153/ShrnShndl/100_0593.jpghttp://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii153/ShrnShndl/100_0594.jpg

The spring is used to hold the primer punch in line with the resevoir tube when it is not pressed into the ram for priming

I am new to this site but when I saw the pictures of the Spar-T press I wanted to see if you still have this press and if you have been able to find any parts to it. I have one just like it and have found a few parts but can't find the wire that holds the priming tube holder in place. I would try and make one but I need some better pictures of the wire in order to do so. If you still have it could you take a few pictures of it for me to go by. If you don't still have I appreciate it anyway.

Do these help?

This second pic is mostly a view of the end of the spring. I pulled it out of the priming arm to show it's construction.

My first press, '65, was a Spar-T with the auto prime feature. It was an ok press but the only thing I really liked about it was that priming attachment. I've never seen another press mounted primer feed tube made of brass and that's why I think it fed so reliably (I guess alum tubing is a few pennies cheaper than brass) but I went to Lee's AutoPrime tool when it came out (and have never worn anything out nor broken a part on it either).

I still have the old Spar-T, it's in great shape and I use it for handgun ammo. I did convert it into a compound toggle lever system some years back tho; NOW I like it much better but still use my big press for medium to large rifle cartridges.
