Leatherwood scout scope?

Midway has these at a very attractive price. I'm thinking of putting one on my K31

I put a Leatherwood Expert on my .308. It promptly broke. I sent it back to have it repaired, and so far it's doing well. I won't be buying another...

2-7X is a bit much for a scout scope I think. 1.5, 2.5, or 3X would be better, given the mission of the beast.
