Anything else I can use in it's place that resembles a LRN for 9mm? I can't afford $60 for a mold, looking for a Lee alternative.

358-150-1R

I have found that the lee 9mm cast a bit on the small side. At least the two I have do. Same with a lyman 9mm mould. I would go up to a 38 SPL mould.

I have not tried it myself but I do plan on getting the 358-150-1R mould to try in my 9mm.

Best 9mm bullet lee makes is the 358-125-RF 357 revolver bullet.
Depending on what 9mm pistol you have. After slugging your barrel you may find the 9mm bullets just are not large enough.

I've tried laoding the 147 grain round nosed Magma bullet years ago with so so results. It has a bevel base which can go farther in a 9mm case before bulging it. Has anyone actually loaded that flat based Lee bullet in a 9mm before?

I agree with GabbyM,

The best boolit Lee makes for the 9mm is the 358-125-RF. I have tried this boolit in lot of different 9mm pistols and they all shot it very well with little to no leading.

The Lee 358-125-RF is one of the most accurate boolits I have shot in a 9mm, I get excellent accuracy at 50yards with my custom Springfield XD-9 Tactical 5".

This is my 9mm load for the Lee 358-125-RF.

Lead alloy: WW water quenched.
Sized to .357"
WSF 4.3grs.
Lubed with Carnauba Red and lightly dusted with mica powder.
OAL 1.118"
No crimp, just remove the bell.

Another vote for the Lee 358-125-RF. I've been getting excellent results with light loads of WW231.

Theres a 148 gr .358 SWC mould. You could just run it through the .356 sizer
