O.K. - Need all the info I can get.

Anyone ever used ( or even heard of ) CRM-100 powder?

Supposed to be Canadian powder for .303 (or possibly .308 and .30-06 ?? ).

Any information of any kind would be appreciated.

thanks,

Steve

Unless I am mistaken, It is CMR-100 rather than CRM that may be hindering your search. The bad news is there were several lots of this sold over a period of 15-20 years that range in speed from 15-20% faster than 3031 to 10-15% slower than 4895. Without knowing what lot you have, the safest practice would be to start with 3031 data less 20% and work up watching for pressure signs. I would advise a chronograph also and dont go beyond anticipated velocity. If you find your lot is slower than 3031, you'll find that as you work up and can then start comparing to 4895 velocities to anticipate maximum loads.

Yes, you are correct, it is CMR-100.

Anyone else ever loaded in .223, .308, or .30-06. Not looking for specific data due to the lot variations, just in-general info as to performance or even suitability.

thanks,

I had 16LBS of CMR-100 it was a great powder, the lot I had was similar to 4895. It was the cleanest powder that I ever shot in my Garand. jeff Bartlett (GI brass.com) sold a bunch of it and used it himself. Give him a call he may be able to tell you more about the lot you have.
