Feal bay problem

SO I sold some old snowmobile parts off on evilbay. One part, a cdi box, the guy bought it and, the part worked excellent when I shipped it. He just contacted me that the part no longer works and he expects a refund, CDIs are easy to screw up if you install them wrong. I replied to him that no, he was not getting a refund and the auction said item sold as is, as advertised in the auction. Am I in the right here?

................Most auto parts stores will not accept black box electronics back. Alts and starters yes. Usually none of the mystery electronics.
