hi i am new (lurked for years)
i followed an old thread on here i bought a 500 grain lee .515 diam mold, and lee push thru sizing dies in .510 and 2 in .501 i honed one of the 501 dies to .5035

i cast with pure lead and pan lubed with a mix off pure bees wax 1.5 pounds to 3 pounds of crisco then off to the 510 die and then some went to the 501 die and some to the 503 die (501 is for several 54 cal in purple mmp sabots)
i took my 50 and54 cal knight s to the range
with 70 grains of 777 powder the 50 shoots 1 inch 3 shot groups @100 yards:holysheep the 54 likes 90 grains of 777 and was 2.5 in for 3 shots @ 100
tried the 503 in a white rifle also and it shot 3F black (70gr) and put 3 shots in a 1.5 inch group this is with a licked patch swabbing between shots on all 3 guns with out that it added an inch to all groups with a dirty non swabbed bore!
all 3 guns took whitetails from 30 to 120 yards and it kills quickly with good shot placement THANKS for letting me learn from all of you!!!!! :lovebooli

Sounds like you got some good accuracy there. And I know its got to be a sledgehammer on deer. I wonder what kind of velocity your getting? How long is that bullet? Glad you had a good deer season.

You'll be lucky to recover 1 in 50 of them shot into a deer at any angle. Them heavy boolits are good stuff. Keep us up with your efforts. 10 ga
