OK so I have 2 packs of Winchester small pistol magnum primers WSPM. Can I use them for loading my .40 S&W?

If it would be any kind of risky or even a hassle I will trade them off. Someone just told me I could but I want to be sure it is safe before I run them thru my glock 22.

it depends on the powder and amount of powder you're going to use.
do tell us more,please

Keep your powder charge 10% below max. from the manuals and you will have no problem.

I've switched between the two.. if you are working at max pressure I'd back off my charge a bit and check pressure then work back up. If you are using powder puff loads that are way below max pressure, you could probably switch them out without any issue. Don't get rid of them. They can be used, you just have to be careful about them.

Ive used them in 38 spl and 357 loads,....I never load to max even with standard primers
my loads are at the midway up the scale between min and max and with magnum primers I still reduce those loads by 5%
